Job Responsibilities

What will you do?

• Youll start your day in the depot, sorting and preparing the days deliveries
• Youll load and drive a Canada Post postal vehicle

• Youll then spend most of your day outside, delivering mail and packages by foot or by vehicle to customers on your route
• Youll return to the depot to unload the days incoming mail and packages for later delivery

Qualifications

What must you have?

• A valid Class 5 or Class G drivers licence with a safe driving record for at least 3 years (drivers abstract required)
• The physical ability to lift mail items weighing up to 22.7 kg (50 lb) and carry items weighing up to 15.9 kg (35 lb) regularly throughout the day
• The ability to work in all types of weather
• The availability to be on-call
• The ability to read, write and speak English and/or French

Conditions / requirement of employment:

**Please note that this is an on-call position - with no guaranteed hours - schedules can be on various shifts (day - evening - night) ** You might be called upon to replace with a short lead time - the same day. ** The salary is $22.68 per hour at hiring ** ** Walking routes can be 20-25 km walk in all weather conditions (stairs, snow, rain, sun, etc.) **
