Some of what you will do:

The Preferred Customer Program is Staples Canadas leading small program and a critical part of the growth of the enterprise. As part of the Preferred Program team, the Program Manager- Membership Benefits will be responsible for leading the development and execution of the Staples Preferred rewards offering including the Gift with Purchase and Perks Program. This individual will be tasked with delivering a variety of complex projects and integrated programs while working alongside multiple internal and external stakeholders.

Specifically, You Will:

  • Develop and lead the Preferred Membership rewards strategy, which includes the Gift with Purchase & Perks program
  • Work with Fulfillment Centres and vendors to manage inventory levels. Responds to inquiries as needed directly with stakeholders.
  • Plan replenishment schedules and forecasts SKU volume to reflect market and selling trends.
  • Monitor integrity of AS400 data, responsible for SKU set up & maintenance.
  • Ensure that FCs and other departments receive the information they need concerning new, changed, or sold-out products.
  • Source new vendors and negotiate vendor buying agreements between the company and respective suppliers.
    • Manage the Preferred Perks program, maintaining and enhancing unique member offers from internal and external partners.

Some of what you need:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma with a focus on retail management, merchandising and purchasing or equivalent experience is preferred.
  • Ability to foresee market and customer trends to make effective buying decisions.
  • Knowledge of program management software including Confluence and Jira.
  • AS400 experience is an asset.
  • Proven track record of analysis, interpretation and action aligned with business priorities and vision.
  • Minimum of 5years in a merchandising buying role or relevant experience.
  • Experience in managing interactions with multiple stakeholders.
