What will you be doing?
The HRIS Administrator serves as the technical subject matter expert (SME) and UKG Systems Administrator, managing system security, configuration, application support, testing, new releases, and reporting. This role ensures data integrity by developing, documenting, and maintaining system processes. Additionally, the HRIS Administrator provides end-user support, training, and troubleshooting for HR and payroll teams. They collaborate with IT, Payroll, and external vendors on system integrations and enhancements while driving HRIS projects and process improvements to enhance efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- System Administration & Maintenance
- Manage and maintain UKG HRIS, including system security, configuration, and testing of changes, new releases, and integrations.
- Ensure system compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Troubleshoot technical issues and escalate concerns to IT, payroll, HR, or vendors as needed.
- Stay updated on UKG enhancements and identify opportunities to optimize system functionality.
- Payroll & Data Management
- Support US payroll processes, including tax reconciliation, year-end payroll tasks, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure global payroll processes run smoothly by managing outbound files and system integrations.
- Maintain data integrity by developing, documenting, and enforcing best practices for system use and audits.
- User Support & Collaboration
- Provide training, troubleshooting, and end-user support to HR Business Partners and payroll teams globally.
- Serve as the primary technical point of contact for HRIS-related questions and system functionality.
- Work with HR, IT, and external vendors to manage system integrations, including inbound and outbound files and APIs.
- Communicate system updates and process changes to relevant stakeholders.
- Process Improvement & Reporting
- Assist in configuring and maintaining UKG modules, including Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance, and Compensation Planning.
- Develop and maintain UKG reports and dashboards, ensuring HR and payroll teams have access to accurate, real-time data.
- Analyze business needs and recommend system changes to improve efficiency.
- Participate in HRIS-related projects, including implementing new functionality and process enhancements.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of UKG Pro People and Payroll experience (3+ years may be acceptable with additional relevant expertise).
- Experience managing HRIS security, system configuration, and reporting.
- US payroll processing experience, including tax reconciliation, year-end payroll tasks, and compliance requirements.
- Experience working with global HRIS, including outbound files for international payroll processing.
- Hands-on experience with Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance, and Compensation Planning modules within UKG.
- Experience managing inbound and outbound file integrations, APIs, and system connectivity.
- Experience supporting a company with 5,000+ employees across the US, Canada, and other global locations.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills, with a customer-focused approach to supporting internal teams.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and basic SQL for data analysis.
Preferred Qualifications
- UKG Canadian Payroll experience, particularly for future payroll processing expansion.
- Experience with custom platform configurations and system enhancements.
- Familiarity with UKGs AI initiatives (Bryte AI) and emerging HRIS technologies.

This position can be located in the following area(s): Remote, Canada
The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employees position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is 75,000 - 102,000 CAD.
This job is also eligible for bonus pay.
