Driving Instructor

DriveXpert Driving School is seeking for patient and energetic driving instructors for permanent position in full-time capacities.

DriveXpert Driving School is focusing on sharing knowledge, demonstrating and educating driving techniques that assist a student driver become comfortable, effective and safe in their driving ability.

The candidate ideally has a driving instructors license from approved NS program; however, the candidate who are taken or willing to take a 10-day Driver Instructor Course can be also considered. New instructors complete internal training, education and continues training will be provided, however its important that you read and meet all the qualifications below prior applying.

Job Types:

Full time, Permanent

Pay: $18.00-$22.00 per hour

Expected hours: up to 50 hour per week, 37.5 full-time hours guaranteed paid

Schedule:

5 days a week included:

• Holidays
• 4 weekdays trough Monday to Friday
• 1 Weekend Day - Sat or Sun

Language requirement:

• Articulate and clearly expression of the English and Russian
• Ukrainian/Hebrew or any other language (would be an asset)

Qualifications and Experience:

• License: minimum class 5 license (no N or R permitted)
• Minimum of 5+ years driving experience (international experience accepted, proof will be required)
• Has a driving instructors license from approved NS program OR willing to take a 10-day Driver Instructor Course
• Previous driving positions and driving experience above personal is a strong asset
• Have not within 10 years before your application for an instructors license, been convicted of: an offence under subsection 97(1) or Section 100, 101 or 163 of the Act, or, an unpardoned offence against a person or a sexual offense under the Criminal Code (Canada), or within 10 years before your application for an instructor license, had your drivers license suspended, cancelled or revoked under Section 278 or subsection 282(6) or 283(6) of the Act
• Completed within last year or willing to take a Standard First Aid & CPR (a 2-day course)
• Teaching working with people background is a strong asset
• Experience working with customers/ general public strong asset

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Halifax Regional Municipality, Dartmouth
