Faculty/Department Johnson Shoyama Graduate School Unit Johnson Shoyama Graduate School Employee Group CUPE 2419 CUPE 5791 Job Family N/A Category Student Number of Vacancies 1 Position Summary The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the development of a grant application focused on the governance of artificial intelligence policy instruments. Responsibilities include conducting a literature review, performing comparative analyses, and contributing to knowledge mobilization efforts. Additionally, the candidate will be expected to attend team meetings, participate in visioning activities, and assist with other assigned research tasks. Position Requirements Qualifications:
  • Currently enrolled as a graduate student in Public Policy or Public Administration, with a background in Information Technology, Information Sciences, Digital Governance, or Artificial Intelligence.
  • Strong writing and analytical skills are required. Experience with grant writing and systematic literature reviews is beneficial.
  • Must possess strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Experience working in a collaborative research team is preferred.
  • Knowledge of generative AI applications, ethics, and existing regulatory frameworks is an asset.
