The Financial Services Branch at the Ministry of SaskBuilds and Procurement is seeking an Accounts Payable Clerk for a permanent full-time role who is a customer service and detail-oriented team player who is highly organized and skilled at providing financial accounting services. Reporting to the Manager of Accounts Payable, Financial Services Branch, this role will challenge you to use strong analytical skills, computer skills and knowledge of accounting principles and practices to process payments for invoices, contract payments, and travel expense statements, as well as general cost recovery invoices for shared services agreements. This position will not only require you to work independently but also interact with stakeholders, which may require difficult conversations. You will also be the primary back-up for other positions within the branch. The successful candidate will have working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP) and computer software applications such as Oracle Financials, Microsoft Word, Excel, and database applications. Typically, our candidate of choice will be able to apply knowledge of financial accounting through an accounting diploma and/or equivalent education and experience.
