Flatbed DZ Machine Hauler

Job SummaryWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Flatbed DZ Machine Hauler to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting heavy machinery and equipment safely and efficiently. This role requires a strong understanding of heavy equipment operation, commercial driving, and the ability to handle freight logistics. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring timely deliveries while adhering to safety regulations.

Duties

• Operate a 3 axle rollback truck to transport heavy machinery and equipment to various job sites.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure safety and compliance.
• Load and unload various machinery such as telehandlers, forklifts, dozers etc.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and other team members regarding delivery schedules and any potential delays.
• Ensure compliance with all transportation regulations and company policies related to safety and operations.
• Perform minor automotive repairs on vehicles as needed to ensure optimal performance.

Qualifications

• Valid DZ drivers license with a clean driving record.
• Proven experience in heavy equipment operation is preferred.
• Familiarity with commercial driving regulations and freight handling procedures.
• Experience in automotive repair is a plus.
• Ability to operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $25.00-$30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Additional pay:

• Overtime pay
• Retention bonus

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Morning shift

Experience:

• Commercial driving: 3 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

• Air Brake Endorsement (required)
