Construction Interior finisher

Job SummaryWe are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Interior Finisher to join our construction team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for executing high-quality interior finishing tasks, ensuring that all work meets our standards of excellence and client satisfaction.

Key responsibilities:

1. Drywall finishing - Taping, mudding, and sanding drywall joints to a smooth surface for painting.

2. Painting and coating - Applying paint, stain, or protective coatings to walls, ceilings, and sometimes exterior surfaces.

3. Flooring installation - Laying tiles, vinyl, hardwood, or carpet.

4. Trim and millwork - Installing baseboards, crown molding, door and window casings, and other finish carpentry details.

5. Surface cleanup - Ensuring all areas are clean and ready for handover, including removal of construction debris.

6. Minor touch-ups - Repairing scratches, dents, or imperfections in walls, cabinetry, or finishes.

7. Fixture installation - Installing light fixtures, door hardware, wall panels, or other finishing components.

8. Quality checks - Inspecting work to ensure it meets design and safety standards.

Interior Finishers must possess a keen eye for detail, proficiency with various tools, and the ability to interpret design plans. Their work is crucial in delivering a polished and functional interior space that meets both aesthetic and safety requirements.

Requirements

• Proven experience in construction or finishing roles, with a strong understanding of hand tools and power tools.
• Familiarity with construction estimating processes is a plus.
• Experience in cabinet installation, flooring installation, tile laying, concrete forming, and construction painting is highly desirable.
• Ability to read schematics and follow detailed instructions accurately.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
• Physical stamina and strength to perform manual labor tasks as required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00-$28.26 per hour

Expected hours: No less than 40 per week

Schedule:

• Day shift
• Monday to Friday
• Night shift
• On call
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Construction Interior finisher: 1 year (preferred)

Willingness to travel:

• 100% (required)
