Seasonal delivery driver - box tuck (Class 3 preferred)

We are looking to hire someone immediately to delivery ice in the summer. This is a seasonal position. We are looking for either someone to drive one of our smaller box trucks or someone with a class 3 to drive our dual axle truck. The higher pay range is for someone with a class 3.

Columbia Ice, a locally owned ice company, is looking for a driver to deliver ice for us from mid May to September. The shift starts at 7:30 am and ends anywhere between 3pm to 7pm. It depends on how busy we are for deliveries. Some weeks it will be 40 hours and other weeks it will be 60 hour.

Job requirements:

1. Able to drive a variety of trucks, including a dual axle ten ton truck.

2. Knows the city. Meaning you know about the 3.8 meter train bridge down by the law courts or that the high level is not all that high when it comes to trucks. We want to ensure the safety of everyone, including others and our assets.

3. Physically able to handle the rigors of climbing up and down the back of a truck, moving pallets full of ice, chucking 25 lbs worth of ice at a time repetitively all day long. At times will be required to move big freezers with the help of a coworker.

4. Able to treat our clients, even when they have a bad day, with empathy and respect regardless of their race, religion, sexuality, gender, mood, etc. We dont exist without our clients so they are the most important thing to us. Big or small, all are valued and deserve the best customer service.

5. Good hygiene and the willingness to embrace a disinfect as you go attitude.

6. Doesnt have road rage issues.

7. A clean drivers abstract.

Pay: $23.00-$27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 - 60 per week

Schedule:

• 10 hour shift
• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed
