Personal Support Worker (PSW)

Responsibilities:- Provide support and assistance to individuals in need of care- Assist with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, and grooming- Assist with medications as directed by healthcare professionals- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel- Assist with meal planning, preparation, and feeding- Provide companionship and engage in meaningful activities with clients- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients

- Must be willing to commute throughout the Northumberland Area

Qualifications:

✅ Successful completion of a recognized PSW or DSW Program, Nursing Student or foreign trained Nurse .

✅ Knowledge of dementia care techniques is a plus.

✅ Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical tasks as required✅ Familiarity with medication administration protocols✅ Valid PSW certification or equivalent.✅ CPR and First Aid certification.✅ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.✅ Ensure the clients safety needs are met by utilizing equipment in a safe and appropriate manner.✅ Operate within the boundaries of your own expertise and understanding✅ Empathy, compassion, and a genuine desire to help others.✅ Ability to work independently and as part of a team.✅Vehicle/Valid drivers license required and must be willing to travel to remote locations✅ Reliable transportation to travel to clients homes.
