Ophthalmic Technician
```Job Overview:
We are seeking an Ophthalmic Technician to join our team. As an Ophthalmic Technician, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and assisting with various ophthalmic procedures. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced medical office environment and contribute to the overall success of our practice.
Responsibilities:
- Perform preliminary eye examinations, including taking patient histories and documenting chief complaints
- Conduct various diagnostic tests such as visual acuity, tonometry, and lensometry, visual field testing
- Prepare patients for examinations by dilating pupils and administering eye drops as directed by the ophthalmologist
- Maintain accurate and detailed electronic medical records (EMR)
Skills:
- Previous experience is an asset but not a must as long as you are keen and eager to learn
- Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to provide compassionate patient care
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
