Line Cook/Prep Cook

OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Line Cook/Prep Cook to join our culinary team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals and supporting the kitchen operations to ensure a seamless dining experience for our guests. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food, a strong understanding of food safety practices, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards.
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, slicing, and measuring.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the quality and safety of all food products.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service.
  • Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
  • Participate in daily kitchen operations, including cleaning tasks at the end of shifts.

Skills

  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices in a restaurant setting.
  • More than two years experience in the food industry, preferably as a cook or in food service roles.
  • Proficient in food preparation techniques and meal preparation processes.
  • Ability to handle food safely and efficiently during cooking and serving.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with a willingness to help others in the kitchen.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
  • Ability to work under pressure while maintaining high-quality standards.
