Landscaper

Job OverviewWe are seeking a dedicated and skilled Landscape Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for outdoor work and a strong understanding of landscape maintenance. This role involves various tasks related to gardening, irrigation, and the use of both power and hand tools. The Landscape Technician will play a crucial role in maintaining and enhancing the beauty of outdoor spaces.

Responsibilities

• Perform landscape maintenance tasks including mowing, trimming, and weeding to ensure gardens and lawns are well-kept.
• Dig, plant, and maintain flower beds, shrubs, and trees to create aesthetically pleasing landscapes.
• Install and maintain irrigation systems to ensure efficient water usage for plants and lawns.
• Operate power tools such as lawn mowers, trimmers, blowers, and other equipment safely and effectively.
• Utilize hand tools for various landscaping tasks including planting, pruning, and general maintenance.
• Build landscape features such as patios, walkways, or retaining walls as needed.
• Maintain equipment by performing routine checks and basic mechanical repairs to ensure optimal performance.
• Collaborate with team members to complete projects efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.

Requirements

• Previous experience in landscape maintenance or gardening is preferred but not required.
• Must have G2 or G licence
• Knowledge of how to operate power tools safely and effectively is essential.
• Familiarity with hand tools used in landscaping tasks is necessary.
• Basic mechanical knowledge for equipment maintenance is a plus.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions while maintaining physical stamina for manual labor.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively with colleagues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00-$30.72 per hour

Expected hours: 30 - 50 per week

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• Weekends as needed

Experience:

• Landscape maintenance: 1 year (preferred)
