Labourer

POSITION SUMMARY Laborers required to assist skilled trades people and perform labor activities at our Crossfield pipe fabrication shop. Employees are expected to support and participate in a “culture of safety” and adhere to and be ambassadors of Strikes Code of Conduct and Values, and to treat others with dignity, respect, and fairness. POSITION DETAILS

• Based out of our Crossfield fabrication facility.
• Shift is Monday to Friday
• 10-hour days

CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES

• Identify and report hazards or unsafe work practices.
• Assist with installation, testing and rigging of pipe spools and materials
• Clean construction work areas and fuel equipment as needed.
• Zoom boom and skid steer experience an asset
• Perform other activities as directed
• Participate in pre-job toolbox meetings to identify potential hazards and measures to eliminate or minimize them
• Return tools back to the proper area after the job is complete or at the end of the shift
• Ensure the appropriate use of Personal Protective Equipment while performing tasks

QUALIFICATIONS Education

• Equipment operating experience is an asset but is not required

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, & ABILITIES

• Must be able to pass pre-employment drug & alcohol testing
• Able to lift 50 pounds
• Comfortable working outdoors
