Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role for an Intermediate Software Engineer, based in Calgary, AB, with flexibility for some remote work. Responsibilities include:

  • Design, develop, and maintain ASP.NET Core / React applications
  • Collaborate with team members and stakeholders to define software requirements
  • Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
  • Debug, troubleshoot, and resolve software defects and issues (production support)
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of software development processes

Essential Skills/Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or relevant field
  • Strong proficiency in C#
  • Experience with ASP.NET Core and React
  • Experience with Azure DevOps
  • Experience with Git
  • Proficiency with SQL and an understanding of relational database systems
  • Understanding of software engineering best practices for the full software development life cycle, including agile software development
  • Strong team capability and desire to learn and innovate in a changing environment
  • Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills

Nice to Have

  • Experience in the Transportation Insurance industry
  • Experience with Policy Administration software such as Guidewire, Sapiens, etc.
  • Experience with AI and Machine Learning
  • Experience with Python
