Interim Senior Accountant

Our client, a late-stage software company backed by private equity, is seeking an Interim Senior Accountant to support their accounting team during a period of transition. This organization is known for its innovative, people-centric cybersecurity platform and has a strong footprint in the enterprise market. This is a hybrid role based in the South Bay Area, with in-office expectations on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays. This is a great opportunity for a strong GL accountant who enjoys fast-paced environments and has experience with payroll, commissions, and close processes at scale.

Responsibilities

• Prepare journal entries and account reconciliations including payroll, commissions, bonuses, and various accruals
• Oversee and manage day-to-day payroll-related accounting tasks
• Assist with month-end and quarter-end close, including fluctuation analyses and management reporting
• Provide audit schedules and PBCs to external auditors and internal SOX team as needed

Requirements

• Bachelors degree in Accounting
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in general ledger accounting
• Strong working knowledge of US GAAP and month-end close processes
• Experience with Tier 1 ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft D365, Oracle, SAP); FloQast experience is a plus

Compensation: Determining compensation for this role (and others) at Vaco depends upon a wide array of factors including but not limited to the individuals skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, office location and other geographic considerations, as well as other business and organizational needs. With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure: $55 - $65 per hour. The individual may also be eligible for discretionary bonuse
