Job SummaryWe are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Support Worker to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide essential care and support to individuals in various settings, including hospice care, nursing homes, and home care environments. This role requires a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients, particularly those with disabilities, dementia, or other health challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  • Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of the clients living space to promote a safe and healthy atmosphere.
  • Support clients with mobility needs, including heavy lifting when necessary.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to implement individualized care plans tailored to each clients needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of client progress and report any changes in condition to appropriate personnel.
  • Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote physical and mental well-being.

Experience

  • Previous experience in caregiving or support roles is preferred, particularly in hospice care, dementia care, or patient care settings.
  • Familiarity with working with individuals with disabilities is advantageous.
  • Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by client needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • A clean background check is required prior to employment.
