Job description

We are looking for an energetic, passionate and fun Guitar and Drums Instructor to teach in-person (and potentially virtual) private lessons at our studio location for 1 or 2 days per week. This is an ideal position for a post-secondary music student/graduate, or for a working musician whod like to share their knowledge with a growing student base!

**NOTE: The ability to play and teach drums is an essential component of this position.**

Responsibilities:

- Design and conduct lessons for students of all ages and skill levels to learn guitar or drums, read music, and enhance their musical abilities

- Employ a variety of teaching methods to adapt to different learning styles

- Communicate to students and parents with clarity, positivity, and kindness

- Prepare students for performances and exams

- Collaborate with other teachers and staff for promotional and musical events

Our ideal candidate is punctual, motivated, reliable, is primarily a guitar player but can also play at least intermediate-level drums, and has at least 1 year of experience teaching music. Preference will be given to candidates with a Bachelors degree in Music and/or comparable RCM certification.

Job Types: Part-time, Permanent

Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 3 - 10 per week
