General Contractor

Job OverviewWe are seeking a skilled and experienced General Contractor to oversee construction projects from inception to completion. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various construction processes and techniques, ensuring that all work is completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires excellent project management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate with subcontractors and clients effectively.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of construction projects, including planning, execution, and final inspection.
• Read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings to ensure accurate implementation of designs.
• Coordinate with subcontractors for specialized tasks such as masonry, flooring installation, and concrete finishing.
• Oversee caulking, construction painting, and other finishing tasks to ensure high-quality results.
• Utilize hand tools and equipment safely while supervising site operations.
• Conduct regular site inspections to monitor progress and adherence to safety regulations.
• Maintain clear communication with clients regarding project timelines, changes, and any issues that arise.
• Ensure compliance with building codes and regulations throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a General Contractor or in a similar role within the construction industry.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations.
• Proficiency in blueprint reading and understanding technical specifications.
• Experience in various construction techniques including welding, masonry work, flooring installation, carpentry, and concrete finishing.
• Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong leadership abilities to effectively direct teams and subcontractors.
• Good communication skills for interacting with clients, suppliers, and team members.
• A valid contractors license may be required based on local regulations.
