WCL is hiring heavy equipment operators for the 2024 construction season. This seasonal position requires someone with a personal commitment to working safely and adhering to the companys health and safety policies and procedures. The applicant must be capable to work a schedule of 12 consecutive days on and 2 days off, approximately 60 hours per week.

WCL is currently looking to fill the following positions:

Excavator

• Cut to finish grade
• Load various types of trucks

Dozer

• Cut to finish grade
• GPS experience an asset

Grader

• Cut to finish grade
• GPS experience an asset

Responsibilities:

• Clean, lubricate and perform other minor maintenance work
• Complete daily equipment pre-trips and logs required for safety and service schedules
• Complete all necessary daily paperwork. May include, but not limited to, daily logs, inspection logs, deliver receipts, vehicle inspection, hours of service, etc.

Requirements:

• Class 5 drivers license
• 3 years experience as a Heavy Equipment Operator
• Knowledge of truck and equipment safety
• Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to perform routine vehicle maintenance
• Demonstrated organizational skills with strong oral and written communication abilities
• Strong work ethic
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $35.00 per hour
