At Social Corner, the Expo is a critical link between the kitchen and the dining room, ensuring dishes meet quality and presentation standards before reaching the guest. You will maintain oversight of food quality, manage timing and prioritisation, and ensure dietary accommodations are executed flawlessly. RESPONSIBILITIESHelp set the standards of operation and culture for the opening of our new location.

  • Ensure all food leaving the kitchen meets Social Corners quality and presentation standards.
  • Monitor food presentation and plating to maintain consistency and visual appeal.
  • Serve as the final checkpoint for food quality, addressing any concerns before service.
  • Communicate with kitchen staff and servers to coordinate efficient and timely food delivery.
  • Manage order timing and prioritisation during peak service periods.
  • Oversee special dietary requests and allergy accommodations, ensuring guest safety and satisfaction.
  • Assist with running food to tables as needed, maintaining a polished and professional appearance.
  • Keep the expo station clean, organised, and ready for efficient service.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and front-of-house teams to address service challenges promptly.
  • Organise and monitor the plating and garnishing process to ensure accuracy.
  • Uphold Social Corners commitment to excellence by maintaining high standards in all interactions.

REQUIREMENTS

  • No previous experience required, but familiarity with restaurant operations is an asset.
  • A valid Food Safe certification is required.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication skills to coordinate effectively with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
  • A professional and team-oriented attitude.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $17.40 per hour
