Chef Instructor
Job Description:We are seeking a talented, bilingual Chef Instructor to join our dynamic teaching team. The ideal candidate will combine exceptional culinary skills with engaging instructional abilities, capable of teaching both adult and childrens classes in French and English.
A minimum of 3 years experience in a professional kitchenTrained in French Cuisine techniques - Certifications in placeBilingual - Able to teach in English and French (fluent)Previous experience teaching adults and children, or public speakingAvailable to work evenings Monday thru Saturday, and occasionally mornings or afternoons on Saturdays. (No classes on Sundays)Already legally eligible to work in Canada, possesses a valid work permit for Ontario at the time of application
Responsibilities:- Develop and lead cooking classes for adults and for children- Ensure a safe, fun, and educational learning environment- Prepare ingredients and teaching materials- Maintain kitchen equipment and teaching spaces
Qualifications:- French Cuisine qualifications- Proficiency in: French pastry techniques (asset)- Gluten-free and dairy-free baking techniques (asset)
Educational Requirements:- Culinary/pastry arts diploma- Teaching experience preferred- Food safety certification- Red Seal certification (asset)
Professional Skills:- Excellent communication abilities in French and English- Patient and engaging teaching style- Strong classroom management skills- Creativity in recipe development- Ability to adapt instruction for different age groups
