As a Bakery Assistant, you will support the daily operations of our bakery, ensuring that all products are prepared, baked, and presented to the highest standards. Duties

  • Assist in the preparation and baking of various bakery items, including breads, pastries, and cakes.
  • Follow recipes accurately to ensure consistency in product quality.
  • Decorate cakes and pastries with attention to detail and creativity.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area in accordance with food safety standards.
  • Package baked goods for display and sale, ensuring proper labeling and presentation.
  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers with their selections and answering any questions they may have about products.
  • Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy periods.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a bakery or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Basic knowledge of food safety practices and food handling procedures is essential.
  • Ability to bake and prepare various types of bakery items, with an emphasis on quality and presentation.
  • Skills in cake decorating are highly desirable.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to engage positively with customers.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Pay: From $15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 7 per week
