Assistant Manager
Team Management:
· Lead, train, and schedule staff to ensure excellent customer service.
· Monitor staff performance
Guest Services:
· Greet and assist guests with check-ins, check-outs, and inquiries.
· Resolve guest complaints and escalate issues when necessary.
· Maintain a welcoming and positive atmosphere.
· Assist guests with seasonal recreational rentals - paddleboards, snowshoes…
Reservation Management:
· Oversee and optimize the reservation system to maximize occupancy and revenue.
· Collaborate with management to promote special offers and packages.
Social Media Coordination & Content Development:
· Manage the resorts social media accounts by creating and scheduling engaging posts.
· Develop content that highlights resort amenities, events, and local attractions.
· Monitor social media engagement and respond to inquiries promptly.
· Assist with website development
· Create digital mailing communications as directed
Event and Programming Development:
· Plan and execute on-site events to enhance guest experiences, such as seasonal activities or themed nights.
· Develop programming that aligns with the resorts brand and appeals to diverse guest demographics.
· Coordinate with local vendors and community partners for event support.
Administrative Duties:
· Ensure proper handling of billing and payment transactions.
· Maintain accurate records and reports, including occupancy and revenue metrics.
· Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to meet guest expectations.
· Create or update waivers and releases as required.
Policy & Compliance:
· Enforce company policies and procedures, ensuring alignment with industry standards.
· Stay updated on local tourism trends and national park regulations.
Other:
· Assist with new retail store operations.
· Assist with retail store website and social media development.
· Assist housekeeping staff during high season on an as-needed basis.
· Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
· Proven experience in a similar role within the hospitality or tourism industry.
· Strong leadership and communication skills.
· Proficiency in reservation management software (WebRez Pro) and MS Office.
· Familiarity with social media platforms and content creation tools (e.g., Canva).
· Exceptional organizational and multitasking abilities.
· A customer-focused mindset and ability to handle high-pressure situations.
· Availability to relocate to Waskesiu Lake, Prince Albert National Park.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $20.00-$23.00 per hour
