Administrative Assistant
Reporting to the Deputy Chief, the Administrative Assistant I provides clerical and administrative support to the department of Emergency Services.
Responsibilities
- Performs general administrative duties as required for the department.
- Provide support to the departments administrative staff.
- Provide telephone reception support for the Reception Area.
- Processing of daily mail and courier.
- Scanning and filing documents.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 Secondary Diploma plus post-secondary education in Office Administration or equivalent combination of education and office experience.
- Computer literacy required, particularly MS Office applications.
- Good oral, written and interpersonal skills to interact with government departments and agencies, the media, the public, elected officials and County staff.
- High level of initiative and sound judgement.
- Ability to work independently, set priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $26.51-$29.84 per hour
