Ripple Foundation seeks a skilledPublic Relations Specialistto drive our communications strategy and expand our public profile. The ideal candidate will bring creativity, strategic thinking, established media contacts, and a passion for storytelling. Your role will be pivotal in engaging with media, influencers, and the broader community to elevate Ripple Foundation’s presence and impact.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage relationships with Tier 1 and Tier 2 media outlets and influencers
  • Craft compelling content for press releases, pitches, media advisories, and feature stories, aligning with our mission to inspire creativity and leadership in youth.
  • Execute targeted media outreach and research to enhance Ripple Foundation’s brand visibility.
  • Proactively pitch creative and newsworthy story ideas to media outlets, highlighting our programs, youth participants, and community impact.
  • Monitor media coverage, sharing relevant mentions with the Social Media team to amplify through our digital channels.
  • Collaborate with the Social Media team to engage with media contacts and influencers on social platforms, fostering deeper connections.
  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive public relations and communications strategies.

Qualification:

  • 3-5 years of experience in communications, with a preference for those with PR agency backgrounds.
  • Proven success in media and influencer relations, with established contacts in the education and lifestyle sectors.
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills; writing samples are encouraged.
  • Experience managing a communications program with national reach, ideally in the non-profit or educational sector.
  • A proactive, creative mindset, with the ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with fellow volunteers.
  • Ability to juggle multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
