Are you a strategic finance leader ready to shape the future of one of Novo Nordisk's most dynamic markets? Join us as the CFO of Novo Nordisk Canada (NNCI) and help drive sustainable business growth in an increasingly complex healthcare landscape – where your leadership will directly influence how we reach more patients living with serious chronic diseases.

Your new role

As Senior Director, Finance & Operations (F&O), you will serve as the CFO of Novo Nordisk Canada Inc. (NNCI) and a key member of the Canadian Executive Team. You will lead the strategic agenda for F&O in a dynamic environment shaped by Loss of Exclusivity (LOE), Most Favoured Nation (MFN) pricing considerations and evolving regulatory demands, while partnering closely with the NNCI President, the EUCAN VP of Finance and the SVP, EUCAN to drive NNCI's sustainable growth.

Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
  • Providing full oversight of the NNCI P&L, presenting financial results and projections to the Executive Team, EUCAN Office and Headquarters, and leading discussions that define the affiliate's overall financial strategy
  • Providing financial consultation on existing brands, new product launches, LOE & MFN strategies, strategic alliances and pricing – including oversight of PMPRB (Patented Medicine Prices Review Board) compliance and PLA (Product Listing Agreement) agreement execution
  • Assessing the affiliate's risk profile, maintaining the system of internal financial controls, and ensuring compliance with Canadian tax law, transfer pricing, corporate and indirect tax obligations
  • Providing strategic direction for the Finance, Supply Chain and IT functions – including oversight of the 3PL Distribution Agreement and ensuring technology platforms align with corporate standards
  • Acting as an Officer of NNCI liaising with statutory auditors, the Canada Revenue Agency, logistics providers, distributors, wholesalers, lawyers and consultants
  • Representing NNCI externally, including on the Pharma CFO Forum, and contributing to global teams and regional tax strategy development
  • Leading, developing and retaining a diverse team of finance professionals, fostering a collaborative environment of mutual accountability and championing a quality mindset across all F&O processes
Your new department

As part of International Operations, you will join our largest operational unit. Covering 194 countries and 95% of the world's population, more than 18,000 of us work passionately to serve 35 million patients each day. With a promise to outperform the competition, we continue to be the growth driver for Novo Nordisk, and to improve health at scale across the globe.

Within International Operations, NNCI is a fast-paced affiliate operating in one of the world's most sophisticated healthcare markets. As a member of the Canadian Executive Team, you will help shape the affiliate's ambition, strategy and business plans – ensuring Finance & Operations is a true value creator and a strategic partner to every function across NNCI.

As Senior Director F&O, you will report to the Vice President Canada and lead a team of 6 direct reports and total 31. You will also be part of Canada’s Leadership Team. The position is based in Ontario, Canada.

We are looking for an enterprise thinker with a growth mindset – a proven leader who thrives in a complex, matrixed environment and can turn financial insight into commercial impact. To succeed in this role, you will bring:

  • A university degree with specialisation in Finance or Accounting, combined with a CPA/CA designation (or equivalent)
  • 10+ years of experience in financial and people leadership roles, with a proven track record of leading large, complex teams within the pharmaceutical industry, FMCG and/or Technology
