Sales Co-worker

PURPOSE OF POSITION:

Overseeing the day to day operation of Monte Cristo Bakery in support of the General Manager.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in building a strong and cohesive team at all levels of the plant
• Review and optimize manufacturing processes in collaboration with the Plant Manager for quality and efficiency
• Oversee the operations of manufacturing personnel to ensure a stream manufacturing process is within budget and time schedule.
• Review and understand manufacturing processes and make recommendations for modifications where necessary in conjunction with the plant Manager.
• Work in conjunction with the purchaser in negotiations with key suppliers, focusing on continually lowering cost of goods and ensuring that all relationships & agreements represent best interests and are conducted professionally, cooperatively, and ethically with keeping the GM informed.
• Coordinate and mentor the senior manufacturing, including QA team to ensure operations are in compliance with food safety and health and safety standards
• Partner with maintenance team for scheduled maintenance of production equipment and machines to ensure efficient operations
• Liaise with the quality assurance department to ensure product quality and specification are consistent
• Collaborate with R&D and sales team to implement strategies that will improve the marketability of manufactured products
• Provide mentorship to production team to form a cohesive team

Requirements:

• Master Baker or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• 5+ years experience in a bakery food production facility
• 10+ years of leadership experience in related industry
• Business experience in purchasing, budgeting, P&L management

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $80,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
