- Report to the Senior Manager of Driver Education.
- Develop relationships with Management groups to understand and address their educational needs.
- Oversee all aspects of Driver Education and Automotive Services Learning.
- Leads the Learning team to plan, develop and deliver all phases of the curriculum cycle for learning programs, including needs analysis, design, facilitation, support, and evaluation.
- Ensure delivery of education programs through an understanding of the concepts, processes, procedures, and principles that are fundamental to adult learning.
- Research industry trends to understand if our education programs are meeting the needs of our business and employees.
- Analyze and interpret business performance to identify areas that require educational support or alternative programs.
- Identify different ways of training to meet the needs of our employees - classroom, one-on-one and or online.
- Think and plan strategically through knowledge in current and possible future policies, practices, trends, and information affecting the organization.
- Develop communication plans that connect employees and contractors to the Driver Education and Association strategies.
- Collaborate with Corporate Learning to align with Association strategies, channels, design, and brand guidelines.
- Coach, mentor and develop staff to ensure they are fully competent and have the confidence to provide and facilitate an exceptional education and training experience.
- Delegate responsibility and empower employees to take accountability for assisting with planning, development, and delivery of educational requirements.
- Provide accurate forecasting and budgeting relative to education deliverables.
- You have a post-secondary degree or diploma in Business with experience in either child, adult (or both!) learning.
- Youre no newbie—you have at least 5 years experience in a learning and development role combined with 3 years of experience in leading a training / development team in a corporate environment. Experience in operations is an asset.
- Youre an all-round superstar with strong leadership, strategic planning, creative writing and problem-solving skills.
- Youve worked in positions that required excellent facilitation skills, innovative approaches, and an eye for detail.
- You have the results to back it up - quantifiable successes that have generated results in either sales, net promoter scores, customer experience scores, and/or leadership.
