The Role: As our Marketing Manager, Travel & Tourism, youll be the mastermind behind the strategies that fuel AMA Travels growth. From creating captivating campaigns to designing innovative customer journeys, youll work alongside our passionate team of travel experts to build strategies that inspire, engage, and deliver results. Using your strategic thinking you will shape and lead comprehensive marketing campaigns, youll use your understanding of the travel industry, and data-driven approach to ensure our campaigns resonate with travelers at every stage of their journey. From leading Omnichannel campaigns and strategies to exploring new opportunities for growth, youll be the key player in our mission to take travelers to their dream destinations. What youll do
  • Create Magic: Develop and execute creative, data-driven marketing campaigns that capture the essence of travel for Albertans and our brand.
  • Lead with Strategy: Drive marketing strategies from concept to execution, ensuring we stay ahead of trends and meet business objectives.
  • Campaign Management: Take ownership of the full campaign lifecycle—from conceptualization to execution—ensuring every campaign is delivered on time and within budget.
  • Create Partnerships: Build strong relationships with influencers, tourism boards, and key travel suppliers such as Disney, Royal Caribbean and WestJet to name but a few- to drive growth both within our membership base and more broadly.
  • Inspire the World: Craft inspiring creative and content that fuels wanderlust and engages our community of adventurous travelers across multiple platforms.
  • Leadership: Foster learning, excellence, and a performance-based mindset, by being authentic and accessible, carving time to connect with others to learn and listen, while providing constructive and clear feedback
  • Collaborate Like a Pro: Work closely with product, sales, creative and digital media teams to create seamless marketing experiences that make an impact.
  • Optimization & Testing: Regularly analyze performance across all channels (digital, social, email, paid media) and implement A/B testing and other optimization strategies to improve results continuously and create reporting to present internally on performance.
  • Market Research & Trendspotting: Stay ahead of industry trends, competitor activities, and evolving consumer preferences to identify new growth opportunities and keep our marketing strategies innovative and relevant.
  • Travel and Brand Ambassador: Represent AMA at key travel events and trade shows, both virtually and in person, to grow partnerships, gather insights, and maintain industry presence.
What You Bring:
  • Excellent communication skills, whether its creating an engaging campaign or leading a strategic performance meeting, you communicate effectively at all levels.
  • A creative and strategic thinker who is always looking for new ways to break through the noise and reach the right customers, with fresh out of the box idea.
  • Strong project management skills, while meeting deadlines and juggling multiple priorities.
  • Strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset, with experience optimizing campaigns based on performance metrics, and adjusting strategies accordingly.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • A deep passion for travel and the ability to connect with these audiences, product-aligned.
  • Proven experience in creating and executing comprehensive marketing strategies, both online and offline.
  • Expertise in multi-channel marketing, including email, SEO/SEM, paid digital advertising, social media and OOH.
  • Experience in the travel, hospitality, or lifestyle industries is a plus.
  • An understanding of the latest digital marketing tools, trends, and technologies to help drive business forward.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience leading high-performing and engaged marketing teams.
