Volunteer Experience - Assistant Remington YMCA in Quarry Park Salary: $34,112.00/year - $41,919.00/year Start Date: Immediately- Complimentary YMCA Calgary membership including a linked membership for dependent children;

What qualifications are we looking for?
Qualifications include:- Certificate in Office Administration or Business Administration
- Minimum of 1 years experience in areas such as Customer Service or Administration
- A combination of education and experience will be considered
- Competent computer skills including Outlook, Word, and Excel and able to learn new systems quickly
- Able to multi-task and demonstrate strong time-management skills
- Evidence of a clear Police Information Check and Vulnerable Sector Search
- Knowledge of Better Impact and Smarter U systems are considered an asset
- Experience working in a not-for-profit organization is considered an asset
- Interest in volunteer management is considered an asset
- Three professional references
What does this role look like at YMCA Calgary?
Duties and responsibilities include: Customer Service & Communication- Provide excellent customer service by managing and triaging the volunteer email inbox.
- Track applicants throughout the recruitment process and ensure timely communication to keep all applicants informed of their status and outcomes.
- Assist with volunteer onboarding tasks, including initiating reference checks, generating police check letters, and providing access to online training.
- Coordinate and support practicum students onboarding, tracking, and compliance
- Database & Documentation Management
- Update and maintain volunteer records within the volunteer database
- Monitor and send reminders for upcoming certification expirations for required courses and support with access to online training
- Keep the Staff Resources SharePoint updated as required
- Assist in volunteer recognition efforts, including newsletters, emails for birthdays and anniversaries, and planning for National Volunteer Week (NVW) and International Volunteer Day (IVD).
- Support event planning and logistics for volunteer social events, helping to foster a positive volunteer experience.
- Attend and represent YMCA at community events and engagement fairs when possible, to promote volunteer opportunities and recruit volunteers
- Monitor, package, and distribute volunteer supplies through inter-office delivery
- Participate in the annual YMCA Lets Raise & other special events;
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Volunteer Engagement Supervisor/Manager
