• Hold a valid ECE Assistant certificate from the BC ECE Registry.
• Have a genuine interest in providing quality care and support to young children.
• Possess strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Are responsible, reliable, and committed to the full duration of the temporary assignment.
• Are able to contribute to a safe and nurturing environment.
• Are Canadian Citizens, have Permanent Resident status, OR hold a valid study permit and meet the following criteria: are a full-time student currently enrolled at a designated learning institution in a post-secondary academic, vocational or professional training program that is at least 6 months in duration and leads to a degree, diploma or certificate, and have already commenced the program of study.
• Have passed a Criminal Record Check.
• Can provide references showing they are of good character.

What Youll Do:

• Support Early Childhood Educators in daily routines and activities.
• Engage children in play-based learning and development.
• Assist with basic care needs, such as mealtimes and hygiene.
• Help maintain a clean, safe, and organized environment.
• Communicate effectively with educators and potentially with parents/guardians.
