Protection and Control Engineer
Your Role:
- Participate in defining project mandates and drafting service proposals.
- Act as a project manager and/or discipline lead for projects of varying sizes.
- Create electrical diagrams (single-line, logic, AC and DC) and prepare equipment specifications, manufacturing, and installation documents.
- Supervise the creation of wiring diagrams, connection drawings, cable lists, and material lists.
- Perform technical studies and write documents such as calculation notes, specifications, and reports.
- Work collaboratively on multidisciplinary projects.
- Build and maintain relationships with our clients.
- Travel to project sites as needed.
- Bachelors degree in electrical engineering.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience.
- Member of the Quebec Order of Engineers (OIQ).
- Proficiency in high and medium voltage substation protection, control, and automation systems.
- Experience in consulting engineering, hydroelectric power plants, and/or projects with Hydro-Québec or other utilities.
- Fluency in both French and English, spoken and written.
- Experience in short-circuit calculations, arc flash studies, and protection coordination studies.
- Grounding study experience (an asset).
- Knowledge of relay configuration (an asset).
- Commissioning experience (an asset).
- ASP Construction card (health and safety on construction sites).
