Metal Stamping Technician

We are looking for a Mechanical Engineering Technician who will report to the Exhaust System Team Leader to help us in the production launch of new bent tubes for exhaust systems and chassis. In this role, you will have a significant impact by designing the tooling and will collaborate closely with suppliers. You will be at the forefront of influencing the engineering team during the development of new tubes and sheet metal components.

YOULL HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO:

• Analyze technical drawings and influence engineering based on the capability of our processes.

• Design and purchase equipment and tooling, considering budget and schedule constraints.

• Conduct mass production evaluation activities.

• Conduct sector risk analyses and take the necessary corrective actions.

• Support operations and participate in problem-solving activities.

YOULL THRIVE IN THIS ROLE IF YOU HAVE THE FOLLOWING SKILLS AND QUALITIES:

• A technical Diploma of College Studies (DCS) in mechanical engineering technology.

• Project management experience and comfortable working within a team.

• Strong CAD design skills (Catia).

• Interest and knowledge of folding and forming processes would be an asset.

• Creativity and curiosity to develop new concepts or processes.
