Position: Media Coordinator (Full-time) Location: Whistler, BC About Guru Communications
  • Guru Communications conducts media strategy and negotiations for national advertisers.
  • Guru works in all media - Social, Search, Digital Video, Digital Display, Out-of-Home, Radio, TV

Responsibilities & Skills
  • Position will include a mix of ongoing assignments and special projects including:
    • Brainstorming with the team on media ideas for our clients
    • Pulling consumer research insights into reports
    • Sending requests for proposals (RFPs) to suppliers and evaluating proposals
    • Monitoring campaigns and sending regular progress and optimization reports
  • Attributes required to be successful at this position:
    • Post-secondary education
    • Proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint
    • Clear communications skills (written and verbal), attention to detail, positive attitude and desire to learn
  • Ideal experience:
    • Office experience
    • Marketing, advertising, or media background
    • Proficiency placing Facebook and/or Google ads
  • Guru to work closely with employee to train and mentor them so they can grow in the position.

Logistics
  • Full-time Monday-Friday 8 am - 4 pm PST
  • Employee to work 4/5 days out of Gurus Whistler office located in Rainbow neighbourhood

Salary & Benefits
  • Starting salary commensurate with experience - $40,000-45,000 per year
  • Health benefits package
  • 3 weeks of vacation - an extra day off on long weekends and a paid holiday closure at Christmas/New Years
  • Regular outings which have included live MLB and NHL games, escape rooms, axe throwing, ski day, BBQs, mountain top hikes, kayaking, and ziplining.
