Math Tutor

Carrey International Education Inc., founded in 2018, is a private education consulting institution located in Mississauga/Oakville Area. We are inviting applications from passionate and experienced educators for the position of Math Tutor, for students in Mississauga/Oakville Region.

The successful candidate will use a variety of teaching strategies to meet and support the diverse learning needs of students; incorporate a variety of creative tools and teaching practices to enhance student involvement.

Class size varies from 1 to 10 students, teachers should be comfortable with all level students and class sizes.

The successful candidate must have:

• Knowledge with the Ontario Ministry of Educations Curriculum
• Ability to create customized learning plans to meet individual learning goals
• Experiences with Math contests as an asset
• A demonstrated passion and commitment toward continued professional growth and development
• Strong communication skills with students, administrators and center staffs
• Strong time management skills
• Strong skills to work in a collaborative working environment
• Strong ability in effective classroom management skills and instructional strategies
• OCT certification Preferred

Duties:

• Create and prepare grade appropriate subject lesson plan
• Deliver the lesson plan in an engaging and inspiring way
• Evaluate student assignment, provide constructive feedbacks
• Periodically evaluate and communicate the progress of the students to onsite Academic Assistant or Director
• Willingness to assist in planning/implementing of special events and promotional activities for the center

Job Types: Part-time, Contract, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 1 - 5 per week
