As we continue to expand, we are looking for a motivated Logistics Coordinator to join our team and play a key role in sales, client acquisition, and operational coordination.

Job Overview

As a Logistics Coordinator, you will be responsible for driving business growth by securing new clients, managing shipments, and coordinating with carriers to ensure timely and cost-effective deliveries. This role requires strong sales skills, attention to detail, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Sales & Client Acquisition
• Identify and reach out to potential clients to promote Salient Logistics services.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers to drive repeat business.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing with new and existing clients.
• Create a strong relationship with clients of Salient Logistics and maintain high levels of customer service.
• Shipment & Carrier Coordination
• Arrange, schedule, and track shipments to ensure timely delivery.
• Communicate with carriers, brokers, and drivers to optimize transportation solutions.
• Monitor shipment status and resolve any transit issues that arise.
• Operations & Administrative Support
• Prepare and process shipping documents and reports.
• Maintain accurate records of shipments, carrier agreements, and client interactions.
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure seamless logistics operations.

Qualifications & Skills

• Experience in logistics, freight brokerage, or transportation sales is preferred.
• Strong sales and negotiation skills with a track record of closing deals.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in logistics software and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Knowledge of freight rates, shipping regulations, and carrier management is an asset.
