This role sits within Laurentian Bank Securities, a subsidiary of Laurentian Bank.

You will support the currency exchange team by developing and automating reports, performing analysis and making recommendations for improving productivity. You will work on research projects to facilitate client transactions and take an active part in business development projects. You will also take an active part in the foreign exchange traders day-to-day tasks by supporting them through the business development cycle while becoming familiar with the foreign exchange environment. You will also be exposed to the Banks other departments and business lines and will need to demonstrate open-mindedness in forging ties between departments. Responsabilities
  • Assist the foreign exchange team by analyzing results, activities and predictive sales indicators, observing correlations and making projections under the supervision of the teams Senior Foreign Exchange Trader.
  • Take part in the collection and management of sales force data while assisting in the production of performance reports.
  • Support the foreign exchange traders in the analysis of sales results while assisting with the activities of the various performance programs.
  • Support the Senior Foreign Exchange Trader on projects that cross administrative-unit and corporate-sector boundaries by taking part in meetings and providing administrative support.
  • Perform general administrative tasks as requested by your manager or as part of your duties, such as preparing documents, collecting data and optimizing tools.
  • Observe and help with the preparation of a business development plan.
Qualifications
  • Student in a business administration bachelors program, finance track
  • Proficiency in the Office suite (Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Quick learner
  • Intellectual curiosity and analytical skills
  • Positive attitude, strong interpersonal skills and ability to work on a team
  • Diligence and attention to detail
  • Bilingual* (French & English, spoken and written)*
  • Professional working proficiency in French and English languages required as position involves frequent written and oral communication on complex matters with internal and external parties in both languages.
