- Provide installation support and training for CAD software, including Solid Edge, SolidWorks, PDM, AutoCAD, DriveWorks, and Revit, adhering to established company processes.
- Supply advanced technical support and troubleshooting for all CAD/PLM-related software.
- Serve as a super user and key resource for the engineering teams within the Price Group of Companies.
- Collaborate with the Business Systems team to coordinate installations, upgrades, and subsequent training sessions for all CAD/PLM users.
- Document and communicate clear and concise work instructions.
- Collaborate with the CAD Admin team to assess new software releases and identify training requirements.
- Assist in establishing structured file systems and standardized naming conventions.
- Maintain accurate software inventory and licensing records.
- Assist in implementing and enforcing CAD/PLM standards through collaboration with Business Systems, Engineering, and Operations teams.
- Implement manual and automated processes to ensure data integrity.
- Document and maintain content storage locations, ensuring all teams use accurate revisions.
- Assist users in locating drawing data and converting files to other formats as needed.
- Gather, analyze, and refine CAD/PLM workflows and processes to meet diverse organizational needs, enhance efficiency, and improve communication.
- Automate standardized processes using workflows, templates, and other methods.
- Collaborate with resellers and vendors to negotiate software licensing and support agreements.
- Stay informed about emerging CAD/PLM trends and recommend improvements.
- B.S or Technology Diploma in Mechanical Engineering required
- Computer Science or Information Technology experience is considered an asset.
- Minimum of 3+ years experience administering and supporting CAD software, including Solid Edge, SolidWorks, PDM, AutoCAD, DriveWorks, and Revit.
- Experience with PDM and/or PLM is considered an asset.
- Experience supporting CAD/PLM users over multiple communication formats (Email, Phone, Microsoft Teams, and In-person). Demonstrated ability in supporting engineering systems software, including PDM & PLM software solutions, considered an asset
- Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize, aligning with the department and corporate goals in mind.
- Demonstrated ability to think strategically and tactically while acting independently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical information.
- Proven ability to conduct presentations.
- Manufacturing experience would be considered an asset.
