Under the direction of the Supervisor of Maintenance, The HVAC Technician is responsible for:

• Regular maintenance of mechanical and control system functions in the Board, including heat pumps, gas-fired equipment and related pneumatic, electrical and DDC controls;

• Maintenance and servicing of air conditioning, heating and ventilation systems, boilers;

• Other related duties;

• Must be available for after-hour emergency service calls.

Required Qualifications, Experience, Knowledge and Skills:

• Secondary school graduation;

• Three (3) year community college diploma in a related field;

• Two (2) years of related experience;

• Air Conditioning / Refrigeration Mechanic licence;

• Gas Fitter 1 Mechanic licence;

• OVT1 Oil Burner Maintenance Mechanic licence;

• Valid drivers licence;

• Ability to work independently;

• Knowledge of Honeywell Controls Language, Insight Control Language, Monitor control language, Mctasys Control language, MS Word and First Class would be an asset

Compensation:

• This is a permanent, full-time position with an annual salary of $89,471

• C omprehensive employee benefits package (health and dental) is also provided

• Three (3) weeks vacation

• Paid sick leave

• Working hours (7:00 am - 3:30 pm)

• Paid overtime

The effective date is approximately June 23, 2025.
