Location: Sandrine French Pastry & Chocolate - Dilworth Dr, Kelowna, BC
Position: Full-Time Pastry Chef
Compensation: $19-$21/hour + tips (for candidates with 2+ years or less of experience); Negotiable salary for highly experienced candidates (10+ years) based on skills and expertise
Schedule: Early morning shifts (3:30 AM - 11:30 AM or 5:00 AM - 1:00 PM), including weekends; typical days off will be Monday to Wednesday, with some scheduling flexibility required.

Sandrine French Pastry & Chocolate is Kelownas premier French patisserie, dedicated to the art of fine pastries, cakes, and handcrafted chocolates. As we continue to grow—including opening our second location this spring—we are looking for a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef to join our dynamic team.
About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Pastry Chef to play a key role in our morning production and cake-making operations. This position requires consistency, precision, and a deep passion for French pastry.
Your morning will begin with the essential task of baking and setting up our pastry displays, ensuring that everything is freshly prepared and beautifully presented for opening. Once the morning setup is complete, you will transition to cake production, working alongside our Back-of-House Manager.
If you specialize in croissant-making or savoury pastries, there may be opportunities to contribute to that side of our operations. Otherwise, your focus will be on producing a variety of pastries and cakes, ensuring the highest level of quality and consistency.
What Were Looking For
- 2+ years of professional experience in a bakery or pastry kitchen (more experience is preferred).
- A strong foundation in pastry techniques with a keen eye for detail and consistency in production.
- Ability to replicate recipes precisely, maintaining the same high standard every day.
- A team player who enjoys working collaboratively in a small but fast-paced environment.
- Someone who takes initiative, works efficiently, and stays organized in a busy kitchen.
- Must be a morning person—this role requires early morning starts.
- Reliable transportation to our Dilworth Dr location.
- Flexible availability, including weekends and early shifts.
