Director Financial Reporting

We are seeking an experienced Director of Financial Reporting to lead our corporate financial accounting team. This key position will partner with the business to improve processes and systems, enhance decision-making, and support the execution of our corporate strategy and vision, while ensuring regulatory compliance.
Responsibilities include:
- Lead and oversee the preparation of consolidated financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS, and manage the monthly close process and internal reporting.
- Analyze financial statements and operating site reports to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and provide insightful commentary on financial results.
- Oversee corporate accounting activities, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and fixed asset management, ensuring accurate and complete records.
- Implement and maintain effective internal financial controls, ensuring compliance with federal and provincial regulations, and coordinate the completion of audits.
- Lead and develop a high-performing team, assigning tasks, providing coaching, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement, while ensuring the right training and performance appraisals.
- Bachelors and/or Masters degree in Business Administration.
- Canadian CPA certification (or other country equivalent).
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in the accounting and finance sector, including managing accounting teams and financial processes.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong discretion and integrity, with the ability to handle sensitive situations with tact.
- Highly collaborative, with a strong team orientation and a willingness to assist others.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong multitasking and problem-solving abilities, with an aptitude for managing deadlines while maintaining high-quality work.
- Flexibility and adaptability to manage shifting work priorities and varying volumes of work.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

The annual salary range for this position is $190,000 - $220,000. This range is a guide and final compensation for this position will be determined based on the candidates unique skills, expertise, individual qualifications, and assessed contributions to the role following the completion of the interview process.
