Ponderosa Mushrooms & Specialty Foods Maple Ridge, BC Position Overview Ponderosa Mushrooms & Specialty Foods is a growing specialty produce company based in Maple Ridge, BC. We supply high-quality mushroom products to retail and food service customers across Canada and export to international markets. We are currently seeking a motivated Quality Assurance Manager to support our food safety and quality programs. The successful candidate will assist with the implementation and maintenance of our SQF food safety system, quality documentation, and plant compliance activities. This role also supports inventory control and purchasing coordination for production and quality supplies. Key Responsibilities Assist with the implementation and maintenance of the SQF food safety system Support HACCP documentation, verification activities, and food safety records Conduct routine GMP inspections and internal quality checks within the facility Maintain quality documentation, SOPs, and records Assist with preparation for customer, regulatory, and third-party audits Support food safety and hygiene training for employees Monitor compliance with food safety and quality procedures Perform monthly inventory checks of production and quality supplies Maintain inventory records and monitor stock levels Assist with purchasing packaging materials and QA supplies Support general quality and operational improvement initiatives Ability to communicate clearly and professionally in English, both spoken and written Ability to work in a fast-paced food production environment Proficiency in Microsoft Office Strong organizational and communication skills Knowledge of HACCP and GMP programs Experience preparing for or participating in SQF audits is required Experience working with SQF or other food safety certification programs required Diploma or degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Microbiology, or a related field is preferred but not required Qualifications Job Details Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8:30 a.m. 5:00 p.m. (some flexibility required) Location: Maple Ridge, BC Expected start date: As soon as possible Compensation & Benefits Salary: Competitive and based on experience Extended health care Dental care Please send your resume and contact information to: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
