A well-established non-profit organization on beautiful Vancouver Island is seeking a Housing Manager to lead our Transition House and Second-Stage Housing programs in a high-impact, community-centered environment.

The Opportunity

This is a senior leadership role responsible for ensuring safe, effective, and culturally accountable housing services for women and children experiencing intimate partner and gender-based violence. You will guide staff teams, oversee program operations, and strengthen partnerships across housing, health, and community systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and supervision to a multidisciplinary housing team

• Ensure safe, compliant, trauma- and violence-informed program delivery

• Oversee housing operations, risk management, crisis response, and facility standards

• Support Indigenous cultural safety and reconciliation in service design and practice

• Manage budgets, reporting, and BC Housing contractual requirements

• Collaborate with community partners including child services, police, health, and housing providers

What You Bring

• Degree in Social Work, Human Services, or equivalent experience

• 3+ years in a supervisory/management role

• 5+ years working in violence-against-women, housing, or complex support settings

• Strong understanding of trauma, risk dynamics, systems advocacy, and staff wellness

• Demonstrated experience supporting Indigenous women, children, or communities

• Calm, ethical leadership in high-acuity environments
