Job Title: FPGA Design and Verification EngineerJob Description

Join our engineering team specializing in Digital Systems HDL/CCA design and HDL Verification. You will contribute to On-Orbit Space Station activities, Gateway External Robotics Systems, planetary/lunar rovers, and R&D initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Develop synthesizable code and test bench coding for FPGA.
  • Utilize FPGA Formal verification techniques.
  • Employ FPGA development tools such as Xilinx Vivado and Libero Microchip.
  • Work with SoC FPGAs, including Zynq/MPSoC families and on-chip communication buses like AXI or AHB.
  • Conduct post PaR verification, simulation methods, and timing closure techniques.
  • Integrate and verify COTS IP Cores.
  • Follow rigorous development process flows, including requirements definition, architecture, and traceability.
  • Use source code version control systems like Git and Bitbucket.
  • Write design and test reports.
  • Perform hands-on hardware testing and debugging on custom hardware.
  • Understand and apply DSP algorithms such as digital filters and correlators.
  • Design and verify high-speed serial links.
  • Optimize FPGA resource utilization to meet Power, Performance, and Area constraints for satellite payloads.
  • Develop automated test sequences for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) verification on flight-representative hardware.
Essential Skills
  • 7+ years of experience coding for FPGAs.
  • 7+ years of experience in FPGA design and verification.
  • Proficiency with SoC FPGAs like Zynq, Xilinx, and Cyclone.
  • Experience with on-chip communication buses such as AXI or AHB.
  • SystemVerilog/UVM proficiency.
  • Experience in writing design and test reports.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Familiarity with ECSS or NASA/MIL-STD development standards for FPGA/ASIC.
  • Experience with High-Level Synthesis (HLS) using C/C++ for DSP algorithms.
  • Advanced use of formal tools for design safety.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration (CI/CD) for FPGA.
  • Proficiency in Matlab/Simulink for rapid prototyping of DSP chains.
Work Environment

This role operates on a regular schedule of 40 hours per week, with core hours from 9am to 3pm. Employees are required to work in the office at least three days a week, typically from Tuesday to Thursday. The dress code is business casual, aiming to dress as well as customers when meeting with them. The work environment is collaborative and collegial, fostering teamwork and mutual support.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $85.00/hr.
