JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is hiring a Systems Specialist to support a large client. In this role, you will handle system start-ups, checkouts, and troubleshooting for installed projects. You’ll also be responsible for providing guidance to contractors and directing subcontractors as needed. Acting as a key point of contact with customers, you will help maintain strong client relationships and high levels of customer satisfaction. This is a hands-on field role, typically working at commercial, industrial, and institutional construction sites or occupied facilities. The position is 100% field-based with travel throughout the Kitchener/Cambridge/Brantford area.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- College diploma (electromechanical, electrical, or mechanical)

- 1+ years of experience in the workforce doing hands on work in building environments (i.e. building maintenance, construction, etc)

- Self-motivated and calm under pressure

- A valid and unrestricted G/Class 5 driver’s license is required to participate in the Fleet Program and to operate a company vehicle for travel to customer sites within assigned region

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

- Building automation experience

- Knowledge of building mechanical systems; and understanding of the Building Code as it pertains to automation
