What You’ll Do
As Chief Financial Officer, you are a strategic partner to the CEO and part of the Senior Leadership Team, responsible for shaping and executing North Central Co-op’s financial strategy while leading key enterprise functions. You will oversee Finance & Administration, Asset Protection, and Information Technology, ensuring financial strength, operational excellence, and risk stewardship across the organization.
- Lead the financial stewardship of the Co‑op, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, cost management, financial reporting, tax, and compliance.
- Partner with the CEO and Senior Leadership Team on short‑and long‑term strategic planning, enterprise decision‑making, and policy development.
- Develop and execute North Central Co‑op’s financial strategy, including capital planning, investments, and merger or acquisition activity.
- Provide financial insight and economic analysis on matters of significant impact, including pricing, cash flow, capital additions, and competitive trends.
- Anticipate business risks and opportunities, ensuring strong financial controls, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead NCC’s Enterprise Risk Management strategy by overseeing risk processes, ensuring compliance, and promoting a culture of proactive risk awareness across the organization.
- Lead and develop high‑performing teams across Finance & Administration, Asset Protection, and I.T.
- Collaborate within the Co‑operative Retailing System (CRS) to ensure alignment and best practices.
- Support governance and Board reporting within the Co‑op’s governance structure.
Regular travel to North Central Co‑op locations is required to enable connection with teams and locations.

Who You Are
You are a seasoned, values‑driven executive who brings both strategic vision and operational discipline, as well as the following:
- Degree, preferably in Business or Finance
- CPA designation is a requirement
- 10+ years of progressively responsible finance experience, including 8+ years in senior leadership roles
- Proven ability to lead multi‑disciplinary teams and work effectively with Boards and executive leadership
- Confidence with public speaking, presenting to different audiences and engaging with individuals across our association and externally
