Dog Walker and/or Pet Sitter

We offer one-on-one on-leash private neighborhood walks. Dog Walking hours are usually Monday to Friday 10am - 4pm. House-sitting opportunities are occasionally available.

We are looking for:

- A Dog Walker to cover 3-5 days per week (with or without House Sitting availability)

- A House Sitter preferably with a work from home primary job.

You will be required to pass a criminal background check and provide two references if an interview is successful. Pet First Aid Certification is required.

Applicants must be/have:- A dog lover and OK getting wet and mucky.- A supporter of Positive Reinforcement & Fear/Force Free pet care.- Able to lift 30lbs; a small medium sized dog and handle dogs of all sizes.- Able to walk at least 5-7km (10,000 steps a day) and enjoy walking in ALL weather.- A working smart phone with internet access and space for an App and photos/videos.- Legally allowed to work in Canada and currently living in Vancouver, BC.- Fluent in English, spoken & written for report cards and client communication.

Responsibilities:-Attending occasional Meet & Greets with new clients.- Reviewing individual dogs needs to avoid any triggers.- Arriving at clients home on time or within time window.- Entering & exiting clients homes safely and securely.- Being present & alert during the walk to surroundings and triggers.- Starting & ending the walk in app, it records location so clients can see the walk route.- Keep on top of the length of the walk; the App provides a timer.- Picking up all waste and disposing of it in the city bins provided.- Taking pictures & videos on the walk, when safe to do so.- Write up a report card with pictures/videos for clients in the App.

Preference for applicants that have:- Pet First Aid Certification- Previous experience in dog walking or pet sitting- Experience with reactive dogs- Education in animal care or handling- Understanding of dog behavior and body language

Pay: $300.00-$1,500.00 per month
