Job Title : Transport Manager (NOC 70020) Vacancies : 1 Terms of Employment : Full time and permanent Anticipation date : As soon as possible Job Site Office Location : Unit# 230, 30475 Cardinal Ave Abbotsford, BC V2T 0E4 Salary : $58.00/ hour on the basis of 35-40 hrs per week Job requirements Languages English Education Secondary (high) school graduation certificate Experience 2 Years to 3 years of experience Ability to Supervise: 5-10 people Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Candidate must work well under pressure and make tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment Personal Suitability: Be reliable, flexible and a team player Major Work Area: Transportation Specific Skills: Develop and oversee transportation policies, procedures, and programs to ensure safe and efficient transportation operations Manage and coordinate the transportation department's daily activities, including scheduling, routing, and dispatching of vehicles and drivers Provide direction, guidance, and support to ensure the team's effectiveness and productivity. Ensuring compliance with transportation regulations. Monitor company's or department's performance, prepare reports for senior management, and plan for changes to schedules and policies Collaborating with customer service teams to address client concerns and ensure customer satisfaction. Resolving issues related to delivery delays, damaged goods, or other transportation-related issues. Develop and implement contingency plans to address unforeseen challenges in the supply chain. Providing training and guidance to ensure staff members are proficient in their roles. Generate regular reports on transportation and provide insights for continuous improvement.
