Adecco is currently hiring a Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) for a full-time permanent opportunity in Etobicoke, ON. This role is ideal for an experienced Registered Practical Nurse with a background in dermatology or chronic disease management who is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care in a clinical setting.
In this position, you will support physicians with dermatology procedures, provide patient education and treatment support, administer medications, and coordinate care while ensuring the highest standards of clinical excellence and patient experience.
  • Pay Rate: $73,000 - $83,000 per year
  • Location: Etobicoke, ON
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday | 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
  • Employment Type: Full-Time | Permanent
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with physicians and healthcare providers to support patient assessments in a clinical setting.
  • Complete patient intake, medical histories, and comprehensive skin assessments.
  • Assist physicians with dermatology procedures including biopsies, excisions, lesion removals, and suturing.
  • Administer prescribed medications, topical treatments, and IM/SC injections within scope of practice.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile treatment rooms, instruments, and supplies while following infection prevention protocols.
  • Monitor patients during and after procedures and respond appropriately to any complications.
  • Educate patients on skin conditions, treatment plans, medications, and self-care practices.
  • Provide disease education, therapy guidance, injection training, and ongoing disease management support.
  • Deliver both in-person and virtual patient support, including adherence follow-up and outbound communications.
  • Review patient files to ensure timely care, treatment adherence, and safety compliance.
  • Document assessments, procedures, and patient outcomes accurately within the medical record.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential patient records and perform data entry throughout the patient care process.
  • Coordinate care with physicians' offices, pharmacies, and other healthcare providers.
  • Manage and schedule patient appointments to support continuity of care.
  • Assist with reimbursement support, patient enrollments, and coverage renewals.
  • Respond to disease state and product-related inquiries.
  • Stay current on Canadian product monographs and applicable therapies.
  • Report adverse events in accordance with pharmacovigilance requirements.
  • Participate in ongoing clinical education and specialized therapy training.
  • Follow all organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and provincial nursing practice standards.
Qualifications
  • Must be legally eligible to work and reside in Canada.
  • Licensed Registered Practical Nurse (RPN) in good standing.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certification.
  • 2-4 years of clinical experience in dermatology is preferred.
  • Experience administering intramuscular (IM) and subcutaneous (SC) medications.
  • Strong patient education skills, including self-injection training.
  • Experience supporting patients with chronic disease management.
  • Previous experience with patient support programs is a strong asset.
  • Experience with Accuro EMR is considered an asset.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Outlook, and Word is an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of dermatology treatments and the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively within a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
